CRD: Monthly Make - Vintage easel

So this is the last card I have to share for Decembers Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs!

I hope you have enjoyed this years sets too....



Materials

  • Decembers Stamps.
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Memento:- Paris Dusk.
  • Distress Ink:- Stormy Sky.
  • Sizzix 658574 (Airmail and Compass set) Embossing Folders.
  • Blue Braid.
  • Silver brad.
  • Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • 3D Foam Tape, Pads or Glue.
  • Blue Marker Pen.
  • Small Square Blue Card, White and Blue Card.

How to Make

  • Cut a piece of blue card the same size as the front of the blue square card, score down front of the card from the top to bottom with the fold to the left.
  • Cut an 11.5cm x 14.5cm piece of cream card emboss using the compass folder, trim down to 10.5 x 13.8cm cut away the top left corner, distress using Stormy Sky making the numbers and letters darker, add the silver Brad to the centre and adhere to the bottom right corner of the piece of blue card using double sided tape or glue.
  • Cut a piece of white card a little smaller than the inside back of the card, stamp a star in the top two corners with two stars to each side of then using Paris Dusk, distress in Stormy Sky and centrally adhere to the inside back of the blue card, using double sided tape or glue.
  • Cut a 6.3 cm x 13.8cm piece of blue card and a 5.8cm x 13.3cm piece of white card, stamp the sentiment in the middle of the white card with the age and a star to each side in the centre space, stamp three stars down each side using Paris Dusk, colour in the words, numbers and stars with the blue marker pen, distress in Stormy Sky.
  • Centrally adhere to the 6.3cm x 13.8cm piece of blue card using double sided tape or glue, then onto the open edge of the inside back of the card using 3D tape or glue.
  • Stamp the plane onto white card using Paris Dusk, cut out and distress in Stormy Sky, adhere to blue card using double sided tape or glue cut out leaving a narrow blue border.
  • Adhere a piece of blue braid down the left side of the compass using double sided tape or glue, adhere the plane on an angle to the top over the braid and compass using 3D foam tape or pads, adhere the bottom half to the front from the open edge up to the score line, fold the score line in to make the easel card.

CRD: Monthly Make - Happy 40th

For this card I teamed Decembers Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs with the new Vintage Minis Set they featured on Hochanda the other week!! Did you watch? I tried but I was watching the little'un who for some reason didn't want to sit still and watch mummy on the telly there was more important things to do! 

Anyway the stamp set is great and works perfectly with the sentiment from this months set. Don't you think????



Materials

  • Decembers Stamps.
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Memento:- Grape Jelly.
  • Distress Ink:- Dusty Concord.
  • Glossy accent.
  • Purple Glitter Glue.
  • Assorted Crystal Gems. 
  • White Chiffon Ribbon.
  • A5 White Card, White and Purple Card. 
  • Purple Marker Pen.
  • Double sided Tape or Glue.
  • 3D Glue.

How to Make
  • Onto white card stamp two butterfly's, two shoes and one crown, using Grape Jelly, apply Glossy Accent to the five pieces when dry cut out.
  • Onto a 10.2cm x 10.2cm piece of white card, centrally stamp the sentiment with 40 and a star at each side in the centre using Grape Jelly, colour in the words and 40 with the purple marker pen, distress using Dusty Concord.
  • Cut two 1.2cm x 10.2cm pieces of white card and stamp a row of stars along then, using Grape Jelly and distress using Dusty Concord so it's darker than the sentiment, adhere one above and one below the sentiment using double sided tape or glue.
  • Cut a piece of purple card a little smaller than the front of the White A5 card, centrally adhere the sentiment using double sided tape or glue, centrally attach a piece of white chiffon ribbon in the space above and below the sentiment, hold in place on the back with tape, centrally adhere to the A5 white card.
  • Shape the crown and attach under the ribbon to the top of the sentiment with a butterfly to each side on the ribbon, with a shoe at the bottom two corners, using 3D glue, add a bow to the bottom ribbon, and a large crystal gem in each corner, five small gems on the crown and the tiny gems on the butterfly's, purple glitter glue in the centres of the stars.

CRD: Monthly Make - Any Occasion

Whoops this picture make it looks like I did a fancy card cut! Nope, I am afraid it is just a plain old Square card and a wibbly bit of camera work, lol!

This card made using Decembers Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs could be used for any occasion imagine some one off on their travels or a new job......


Materials

  • Decembers Stamps.
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Distress Ink:- Gathered Twigs.
  • Sizzix 658574 (Airmail and Compass Set) Embossing Folders.
  • Tan ribbon with spots.
  • 15cm x 15cm square Eggshell Card, Eggshell and Brown/ Orange Core Card.
  • Double sided Tape or Glue.
  • Craft Tools.
How to Make
  • Cut a piece of brown/orange core card a little smaller than the front of the eggshell card, sand the edges.
  • Cut an 11.5cm x 14.5cm piece of cream card and emboss using the airmail folder, trim down to  10.5cm x 14cm and distress in Gathered Twigs, centrally adhere to the piece brown core card using double sided tape or glue, attach a piece of ribbon across the bottom right and top left corners hold in place on the back with tape, centrally adhere to the eggshell card using double sided tape or glue.
  • Stamp the plane onto eggshell card using Gathered Twigs when dry cut out, and adhere to the card between the ribbons using double sided tape or glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Aged to Perfection!

Here is another card made using just the sentiments stamp from this months Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs. This card could be done in any colour and for any birthday......


Materials

Decembers Stamps.
Stamp Bases.
Memento - Tuxedo Black. 
Versamark.
Light Gray Marker Pen.
2 Black and 2 White Brads.
Narrow Black/ White Check Ribbon.
14 Small Black Gems.
Double Sided Tape or Glue.
15cm x 15cm square White Card, Black and White Card.
Craft Tools.

How to Make

  • Onto a 14cm x 14cm piece of black card, stamp the star once in the corner and twice on each side using Versamark, in the top left and bottom right corners.
  • Cut a 6cm x 21cm piece of white card, stamp the sentiment in the centre with 21 and three stars at each side in the centre of it, using Tuxedo Black, colour in the words, numbers and stars in the sentiment in light gray.
  • Trim to fit across the black piece of card from the bottom left to the top right corners, stamp a star in each point and two along each side using Tuxedo Black, edge in gray.
  • Attach to the black piece of card through the stars in the points using the two black brads, attach a piece of black/white checked ribbon 3cm away from the sentiment on each black side hold in place on the back of the card with tape, place the White brads through the corner stars on the black piece of card.
  • Centrally adhere to the White square card using double sided tape or glue, knot a piece of ribbon to each ribbon, add a black gem to the centre of each star.

CRD: Monthly Make - Vintage Scraps

Well this is the last Monthly Make for 2015! 

I just wanted t take a couple of minutes to reflect on what a year it has been, I can not believe the monthly makes have been going 5 whole months (it feels like much longer lol!) back at the start of the year Kym asked if I wanted to run the Monthly Makes for Crafty Roo Designs as she was getting asked a lot about her starting a monthly club. So I did back in August! And from your (very lovely!) feedback you are loving them too! Kym is constantly coming up with new ideas and I am really enjoying getting to create with them. I have already seen a few of 2016 designs and they are great (especially the sayings!!!).

Anyway, enough about 2016 and back to Decembers great Monthly Make. I have really enjoyed working with this set it is so versatile and the "sentiment" stamp will be appearing on lots of cards this year or is that next year!

This first card is great as I got to raid my bits box.......



Materials
Decembers Stamps.
Stamp Bases.
Memento:- Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand.
Sandstone Marker Pen.
3 Brown Patterned Papers.
3 Buttons.
Beige Twine.
Cinnamon Stickles.
20cm x 20cm square Cream Card, brown and cream Card.
Double Sided Tape or Glue.
3D Foam Pads and 3D Glue.
Craft Tools

How to Make

  • Onto the front of the 20cm square cream card, randomly stamp the plane and star using Desert Sand.
  • Cut a 4.7cm x 16.7 piece (or any size you have in your bit box) from the three patterned papers, cut a v into one end so it looks like a banner, adhere to the front of the card with the two outside ones lower than the Middle one, using double sided tape or glue.
  • Cut a 5.7cm x 20cm piece of cream card, stamp the sentiment to the right with the age and a star at each side of it in the centre, stamp three stars down the left side and four along the top, using Rich Cocoa, colour in the words and numbers using the marker pen,
  • Edge with the marker pen and adhere to a 6.5cm x 20cm piece of brown card, then across the centre of the card using double sided tape or glue.
  • Stamp the plane and one extra propeller onto cream card using Rich Cocoa, cut out and adhere to brown card,using double sided tape or glue, cut out leaving a narrow border of brown showing adhere to the bottom left of the card on an angle 3D foam tape or 3D glue.
  • Cut out the extra propeller attach to the plane using 3D glue, add cinnamon Stickles to the centre of the stars on the sentiment border and end of the propeller, knot beige twine through the three buttons and adhere to the top of the each patterned strip using 3D glue.

CRD Monthly Make: Purple Anyone???

For this last card I thought I would try stamping the large flower head (piece of cloth) in another colour! And I think it looks just as good!

So this is the final card for this month, I have had great fun using this set there is so much more I want to do but the time has just flown this month.

Materials
  • Stamp Set
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Distress Ink:- Peeled Paint, Wilted Violet.
  • Memento:- Tuxedo Black.
  • Fabric Paint:- Black, Purple.
  • Cream Open Weave Craft Ribbon.
  • 17cm square Scalloped Edged Cream Card, Purple and White Card.
  • 3Purple Card Candi.
  • Double Sided Tape and Glues.
  • Craft Tool and Iron

How to Make

  • Cut a 18cm piece of craft ribbon, stamp the solid open flower four times along the ribbon using purple fabric paint, when dry iron it, over stamp with the outline stamp using black fabric paint, iron when dry.
  • Cut a piece of purple card a little smaller then the scalloped card, and a piece of cream card a little smaller than the purple card, ink up the large flower shape using Wilted Violet and over ink the centre using Tuxedo Black, stamp it to the top centre of the cream piece of card, stamp two more flowers onto the card, add a Peeled Paint stem to each flower, 
  • Second generation stamp a solid leaf to each stem and over stamp with the outline stamp using Peeled Paint, distress the edges using Wilted Violet.
  • Attach a 2.5cm piece of purple card down the centre of the craft ribbon using glue to hold the weave in place, adhere to bottom of the cream piece of card using Double Sided Tape or Glue and trim to the same width, centrally adhere to the purple card and then onto the cream card using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Add a purple card Candi to each flower using 3D glue Glue.

CRD Monthly Make: Thanks

Another card made using the Crafty Roo Designs Monthly Make. For this one I decoupaged the Poppy heads. I think it works really well.

Materials
  • Stamp Bases. 
  • Stamp Set and BYO - Thanks Sentiment
  • Memento:- Bamboo Leaves, Lady Bug, Tuxedo Black.
  • Distress Ink:- Peeled Paint.
  • 15cm x 15cm square White Card, white, red card,
  • Black Chiffon Ribbon.
  • Double sided Tape or Glue, 3D Glue.
  • Craft Tools.

How to Make

  • Cut a 15cm x 15cm piece of red card and centrally adhere to the front of the White card using Double Sided Tape or Glue. 
  • Onto to a 13.5cm x 13.5cm piece of white card randomly stamp the two solid flower in Lady Bug and the solid leaf in Bamboo Leaves, over stamp with the outline stamps in Bamboo Leaves, distress the edges in Peeled Paint.
  • Attach a piece of black chiffon ribbon 2.5cm up from the bottom of the card, centre adhere to the red piece of card using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Onto white card stamp the solid open flower four times, the side facing flower six times in Lady Bug, and the solid leaf three times in Bamboo Leaves, over stamp with the outline stamps in Tuxedo Black, cut out the leaves, one open flower and two side flowers, and a petal less from each of the other flowers so you have three layered flowers, shape all the pieces.
  • Place the full flower heads on the card and stamp A Tuxedo Black stem for each flower, layer up each flower to the stem using 3D Glue, and the three leaves above the ribbon.
  • Cut a 2.5cm x 7.5cm piece of white card and centrally stamp just the Thanks not the swirls in Tuxedo Black, stamp parts of the leaves (as before on the background )around the edges, distress the edges in Peeled Paint, mount onto a 5.2cm x 8.2cm piece of red card using Double Sided Tape or Glue, adhere over the ribbon using 3D Foam Pads

CRD Monthly Make: Thinking of You

Materials
  • Thinking of You Stamp.
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Memento:- Tuxedo Black. 
  • Distress Ink:- carved pumpkin, Festive Berries, Peeled Paint, Stormy Sky.
  • Spritzer.
  • 15cm Square White Base Card, DK Red and White Card.
  • Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Craft Tools


How to Make

  • Cut a 14.2cm x 14.2cm square piece of DK red card and centrally adhere to the square White card using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Cut a 13.5cm x 13.5cm square piece of white card, onto a large stamp base ink about 2.5cm at the bottom with Peeled Paint, ink up a 9cm x 13cm strip above the green with Carved Pumpkin, Festive Berries, and a few spots with Peeled Paint, spritz with water and lay the piece of white card over it so the bottom edge is over the green ink, leave to dry.
  • Stamp and cut out some masks of the solid flowers, leaf and seed heads, start at the front of the red part and stamp the outline flowers using Festive Berries and the seed head using second generation Peeled Paint using the masks where needed work to the back of the red.
  • Distress the top and down the sides using Stormy Sky, stamp Thinking of You at the top of the piece of card using Tuxedo Black, and centrally adhere to the piece of red card using Double Sided Tape or Glue.

CRD Monthly Make: With Love

Thanks for dropping by!

So, I mentioned that I had used a stamp not quite how it was designed. Well this is it! The large stamp in this months Monthly Make was designed to be a piece of cloth. Well all I could see was a large poppy head! 

Just goes to show we are all different, hope you like it .......


Materials
  • With Love Stamp. 
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Memento:- Dandelion, Bamboo Leaves, Lady Bug, Tangelo, Tuxedo Black.
  • Distress Ink:- Peeled Paint.
  • 8inch square White Card, DK Red and White Card.
  • Green chiffon ribbon.
  • 3 Red Card Candi's.
  • Red Marker Pen.
  • Craft Tools.

How to Make

  • Cut a 71/2 inch x 71/2 inch piece of red card and centrally adhere to the White base card.
  • Cut four 9cm x 6.3cm pieces of white card, ink up the large flower shape (piece of cloth) starting in the middle with Dandelion, working out with Tangelo, and Lady Bug to the edges, spritz with water and centrally stamp onto a piece of white card, repeat on the other three pieces, stamp a small circle of Tuxedo Black in the centre of each, with a red marker pen draw broken lines where you think four petals will be, and a few short lines radiating from the centre, distress all the edges using Peeled Paint,,
  • Cut a 4.5 cm x 18.3 cm piece of white card, ink up "With" only in Tuxedo Black and stamp it in the top left corner, clean off the stamp and repeat with "Love" in the bottom right corner, stamp a solid leaf above Love and below With using Bamboo Leaves and over stamp with the outline stamp in Bamboo Leaves, stamp more outline leaves only between the words, distress the edges in Peeled Paint.
  • Attach a piece of green chiffon ribbon across from the bottom left to the top right corners, adhere to the bottom of the red piece of card using Double Sided Tape or Glue, adhere the four flowers in the space above using Double Sided Tape or Glue, add a bow to the centre of the ribbon, with a card Candi in the centre and one in the top left and bottom right corners using 3D Glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Gate fold Poppies

Novembers Monthly Make has been a real pleasure to work with and this card has to be one of my favorites.

Materials
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Memento:- Bamboo Leaves, LadyBug, London Fog, Tuxedo Black.
  • Distress Ink:- Peeled Paint.
  • Nestabilities S4-117 Petite Scalloped Circles SM,  S4-344 Tear Drop Circle.
  • A5 Gatefold White Card, DK Red and White Card. 
  • Double Sided Tape or Glue and 3D Foam Pads.
  • Glossy Accent.
  • Craft Tools.
How to make
  • Cut a 14cm x 20cm piece of white card, second generation stamp the solid open flower in the bottom left and top right corners using LadyBug, over stamp with the outline stamp using London Fog, distress the edges using Peeled Paint, centrally adhere to the inside of the A5 card using Double sided Tape or Glue.
  • Second generation two solid open flowers on each side on the inside of the card, over stamp with the outline stamp using London Fog, stamp a Bamboo Leaves stem to each flower, second generation stamp some solid leaves using Bamboo Leaves, over stamp with the outline stamp also in Bamboo Leaves.
  • Cut two pieces of red card a little smaller than the fronts of the A5 card, and two pieces of white card smaller than the red card, centrally adhere the red card to the fronts of the card using Double Sided Tape or Glue,
  • On one piece of white card, randomly second generation stamp the solid open flower in Lady Bug, and the solid leaf in Bamboo Leaves, over stamp with the outline stamps, the leaves in Bamboo leaves and the flowers in London Fog, distress the edges using Peeled Paint, attach a piece of red chiffon ribbon 3.5cm up from the bottom of the card and centrally adhere to the left front of the card.
  • On the other piece of white stamp two solid open flower one above the other at the bottom using Lady Bug, over stamp with the outline stamp using Tuxedo Black, give each flower a stem in Bamboo Leaves, over the rest of the card stamp the flower and leaf as on the other piece and distress the edges using Peeled Paint, attach a piece of red chiffon ribbon 3.5cm down for the top of the card and centrally adhere to the right front of the card.
  • Cut a 4.3cm x 11.3cm piece of white card and centrally stamp the saying using Tuxedo Black, stamp part of the solid open flower in the top right and bottom left corners using Lady Bug over stamp with the outline using Tuxedo Black, stamp parts of the solid leaf around the edges and over stamp with the outline using Bamboo Leaves, distress the edges in Peeled Paint not over the flowers, mount onto a 5cm x 12cm piece of red card using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Die cut a 7.2cm Tear Drop Circle distress around the edges in Peeled Paint, die cut a 5.7cm Petite Scalloped Circle stamp the solid open flower in the centre using Lady Bug, outline using Tuxedo Black, give it a Bamboo Leaves stem, distress the edge in Peeled Paint, adhere to the centre of the Tear drop using Double Sided Tape or Glue, adhere to the top centre of the card on the left side only using 3D Foam Pads.
  • Adhere the saying on an angle under the circle using 3D Foam Pads on the left side only, knot apiece of to each piece on the card, Glossy Accent all the darker flowers.

CRD: Monthly Make: Thinking of You!

Here is another card made using November's Monthly Make, this time I have teamed it up with the "Thinking of you" Sentiment. 

This one it really quick to make and by changing the colours of the Poppies and the sentiment it could be used for any occasion.




Materials

  • Thinking of You Stamp.
  • Stamp Bases
  • Memento:- Bamboo Leaves, Lady Bug, Tuxedo Black.
  • Sizzix Thinlits 660220 Tim Holtz Mixed Media.
  • A5 White Card, Black and White Card.
  • Double Sided Tape and Glue.
  • Craft Tools.
How to make
  • Cut a 14cm x 20cm piece of black card and centrally adhere to the front of the A5 White card, using Double Sided Tape or Glue,
  • Cut a 19.3cm x 13.3cm piece of white card, using the largest die from the Mixed Media Set, die cut the top left and bottom right corners,
  • Stamp "Thinking of You" across the middle using Tuxedo Black
  • Make a mask of the open flower, stamp two of the solid open flowers in the top right and bottom left corners using LadyBug, over stamp with the outline stamp using Tuxedo Black, give each flower a Bamboo Leaves stem, mask off the left flower and second generation stamp a solid leaf to each stem, over stamp with the outline stamp also in Bamboo Leaves.
  • Spread a thin layer of glue over a large stamp base tap the die cut corners over it, glue the rest of the card and centrally adhere to the piece of black card.

CRD Monthly Make: Standing Tall

It's November so that means I can share with you Novembers' Monthly Make! For more information check out their website.

This month has to be my favourite yet (though last months is a very close second)! This month has Kym designed us a beautiful Poppy Stamp set. Which I have had so much fun using even if I did use one stamp a little bit different to how it was designed !!!! (I'll share that story another day!).

For today I will share this card, it takes a little time to make, but with a stamp set like this one to use I really didn't mind....


Materials

  • Stamp Bases.
  • Memento:- Bamboo Leaves, Rhubarb Stalk, Toffee Crunch, Tuxedo Black.
  • Distress Ink:- Shabby Shutters.
  • A5 White card, DK Red Card, DK Green Card, White Card.
  • 30cm Dark Red Ricrac Braid.
  • Double Sided Tape and Glues.
How to make
  • Cut a 14cm x 20cm piece of red card and centrally adhere to the front of the A5 card using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Cut two 5.7cm x 10.7cm pieces of white card, onto one stamp two of the solid open flower head facing to the right using Rhubarb Stalk. Next stamp a solid seed head in Bamboo Leaves, give each a stem and over stamp the seed head with the outline stamp in Bamboo Leaves, over stamp the flowers with the outline stamp in Tuxedo Black, distress the edges in Shabby Shutters.
  • Stamp two of the solid side facing flowers facing to the left using Rhubarb Stalk, stamp a solid seed head in Bamboo Leaves, give each a stem and over stamp the seed head with outline stamp in Bamboo Leaves, over stamp the flowers with the outline stamp in Tuxedo Black, distress the edges in Shabby Shutters.
  • Cut a 4.2cm x 12.7cm piece of white card randomly stamp the solid leaf over it using Bamboo Leaves and over stamp with the outline leaf in Bamboo Leaves, distress the edges in Shabby Shutters, glue two pieces of red Ricrac braid across and glue the ends so it will not fray.
  • Cut a 2.5cm x 12cm piece of white card, centrally stamp the saying in Tuxedo Black, stamp a solid seed head at each end and over stamp with the outline using Toffee Crunch, stamp parts of the solid seed head and over stamp with the outline stamp using Bamboo Leaves, distress the edges in Shabby Shutters, mount onto a 12.7cm x 3.2cm piece of DK green card.
  • Stamp the solid open flower four times using Rhubarb Stalk, over stamp with the outline stamp in Tuxedo Black, stamp the solid leaf twice and over stamp the outline in Bamboo Leaves, cut out the leaves and one of the flowers, and a petal less from the other three, shape all the pieces.
  • Adhere the two flower pieces to the top of the red card so across the two it's 12.7cm, the leaf piece to the bottom, with the saying centrally between the two using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Attach a small black gem to the corners of the two flower pieces, layer up the flower to left of the leaf piece add the leaves using 3D Glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Time for Tea

So when I got Octobers Monthly Make set all Kym kept saying was "Wouldn't it make a lovely plaque" so you can imagine my surprise when I saw her working on her project for the month and it turned out to be a jar!

So, here is a plaque I made using Octobers Monthly Make and Lizzie stamp sets.


Novembers set is nearing completion and I have had real fun playing with that set, I really can't wait to share it with you all!

CRD: Monthly Make - Pillow Box

When I was working on the Lavender Card for this months Monthly Make, all I could think was wouldn't this look lovely as a gift box, so I dug out a very old box that I use as a template and this little pillow box took no time at all to make.

Materials

  • Small Lavender Pillow Box, White Card
  • Memento Rich Cocoa, Sweet plum, Pistachio
  • 7cm Green Check Ribbon, Narrow Green Ribbon
  • Hole Punch
  • Double Sided Tape or Glue
  • Craft Tools

How to make

  • Randomly stamp the lavender onto the pillow box the stems in Pistachio and the flower heads in Sweet Plum.
  • Stamp the label onto White card using Rich Cocoa, with the shorter ends at the sides stamp Happy Birthday just above centre on the left side, with the swirl below it using Rich Cocoa, stamp some lavender to the right in the two colours as before.
  • Cut out the label leaving a narrow white border, punch at the shorter ends, and two smaller holes in the middle of the lavender, tie the narrow green ribbon through the lavender.
  • Make up the pillow box using Double Sided Tape or Glue, thread the green check ribbon through the label so you can tie one ribbon below Birthday and the other above the lavender, place around the pillow box and tie.

CRD: Monthly Make - Gents Penny-Farthing Gate fold

For this card I teamed this months Monthly Make set up with the Mini Cog Corners stamp set and I am so pleased I did they make such a perfect pair.

I can see this card being my go to card for males birthday cards!







Materials

  • Small Square Gate Fold kraft card, Eggshell and Cream Card
  • Memento Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand
  • Distress Ink Gathered Twigs
  • Other Stamps Mini Cog Corners, With Love (inside)
  • Three Copper Brads
  • Double Sided Tape or Glue
  • Craft Tools


How to make
  • For the inside cut a piece of eggshell card a little small than the centre square, and a piece of cream card a little smaller than the eggshell, and two pieces of cream card the same length to go down the sides with the same border all around.
  • Onto the cream square piece second generation stamp the Mini Cog Corner in the top right and bottom left corners using Rich Cocoa, using Rich Cocoa and distress the edges in Gathered Twigs, stamp "With Love" in the centre using Desert Sand, centrally adhere to the eggshell card and then adhere to the inside of the craft card using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Onto the two pieces of cream card randomly stamp the mini cogs using Desert Sand, second generation stamp the mini cog corner in the top using Rich Cocoa, and stamp the penny-farthing at the bottom also using Rich Cocoa, distress the edges in Gathered Twigs, centrally adhere to the insides of the card using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Cut two pieces of eggshell card a little smaller than the front sides of the card, and two pieces of cream card a little small than the eggshell, randomly stamp the mini cogs using Desert Sand onto the two pieces of cream card, stamp the mini cog corner at the top and the penny-farthing at the bottom using Rich Cocoa, distress the edges using Gathered Twigs.
  • Add brad to the centres of the two big wheels and centrally adhere to the eggshell card and then to the side fronts of the card, using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Stamp the label onto cream card using Rich Cocoa, have the two long sides along the top and bottom, stamp "Happy Birthday" to the left and the penny-farthing to the right using Rich Cocoa, stamp the two lines in the middle above and below them using Desert Sand, cut out and distress the edges using Desert Sand, add a brad to the centre of the big wheel, centrally adhere to the eggshell card cut out and centrally adhere part on an angle to the left hand side using Double Sided Tape or Glue.

CRD: Monthly Makes - Cowslip

Here is another lovely ladies card made using this months Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs this one was really quick to make...



Materials

  • A5 white card, purple and white card
  • Memento Grape Jelly
  • Distress Ink Dusty Concord
  • 1cm Purple Satin Ribbon
  • Crystal Gems
  • Double Sided Tape or Glue
  • 3D Foam Pads
How to make
  • Cut a piece of purple card smaller than the front of the A5 white card, and a piece of white card smaller than the piece of purple card.
  • Stamp three flowers down each side of the piece of white card using Grape Jelly.
  • Mask off 2.5cm down each side of the piece of card, in the space second generation stamp the flower using Grape Jelly, distress the piece of card using Dusty Concord making it darker around the edges and lighter in the centre.
  • Attach a piece of purple ribbon 2.5cm in down each side, centrally adhere to the purple piece of card then onto the white A5 card using Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Stamp the label onto white card using Grape Jelly, have the shorter ends top and bottom stamp Happy Birthday at the top and three flowers at the bottom also in Grape Jelly,
  • Cut out the label and distress the edges using Dusty Concord, adhere to a piece of purple using Double Sided Tape or Glue, card cut out leaving a narrow border, adhere to the bottom of the card between the ribbons using 3D Foam Pads, knot a piece of ribbon above the label on each side, add a Crystal Gem to the flowers on the label and down the sides.
